DESCRIPTION: APW – Rockford, Grade 500, 21J, 16S, 14K gold Keystone HC recase with exquisite engraving detail, bird on rear, gold cuvette with engraved name, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, large polished steel disk around escape jewel setting, gold jewel settings, gold train, mvt marked "RG" denoting railroad grade, spiral pattern nickel damascene, s#546614. Gross weight of assembled watch 57.4 dwt (89.3 g). A rare and beautiful watch with a total production of only 240 made. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, near mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, oxide to regulator assembly, fine scratch at perimeter of barrel bridge adjacent larger winding wheel, larger winding wheel is a bit different style than we have typically seen with this grade; dial with some faint hls in center section and below seconds-register, surface pit under bezel between 4 and 5; excellent hands; case shows almost no wear, no exterior dents or dings, engraving to thin gauge cuvette has caused rippling of its surface and trace-through of the engraving to the inner surface of the cuvette, superb crisp exterior engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
